WHO WE ARE
No Hat is a volunteer-driven, vendor-neutral computer security conference - a meeting ground for researchers, professionals, and security enthusiasts to exchange their technical insights on the current state of cybersecurity.
Founded in 2019, the Conference attracts specialists, professionals, enthusiasts, and students engaged in the wide field of computer security and privacy. It also functions as a prominent hub for the hacking community in Italy. With more than 800 registered users from all over the world during the 2023 edition, the Conference has confirmed its continuous trend of growth in terms of participants and interest and established itself as one of the largest cybersecurity conferences in Europe.
OUR STORY
The Conference is organized annually by the Italian non-profit association Berghem-in-The-Middle. The organizing committee consists of about 10 volunteers who share a passion for Computer Security, supported by a team of "Angels" who help ensure the event runs smoothly on the big day.
The first edition took place in Bergamo (Italy) on September 14, 2019. Since then, the Conference has garnered national and international interest, attracting well-known speakers and featuring engaging topics on its agenda. In all subsequent editions, the Conference has continued to grow, culminating in 2023 with three parallel tracks and a workshop session. Speakers and participants from all over the world contributed to its success. With more than 800 registrations, it was the most successful edition yet.

We thank our sponsors for trusting and funding us to organize the conference. However, one of the most important pillars of the conference is its vendor neutrality. This means you will not find vendor pitches or presentations supported by sponsorship packages. Every speaker you see on stage has gone through a fair selection process.VOLUNTEERS' EFFORT
